Botanical Dyeing - Bundle Method with Sue Connor - Fri May 23 (1pm)

In this workshop you will be introduced to the magic and beauty of natural dyeing. Sue will share which plants and kitchen waste can be used for dyeing, how to effectively mordant fabric and the technique of bundle dyeing. You will create your own unique silk scarf reflecting the beauty of nature.

About your teacher: Sue Connor
Sue from “Playing With Fibre” is a Botanical Dyer and Fibre Artist based in the Byron Bay Hinterland. She is passionate about sharing her love and knowledge of colour, fibres, texture and the seemingly magical powers of nature. Sue is an experienced facilitator running workshops from her home as well as at festivals such as the Fibre Arts Festival, Knitfest and Camp Creative. Her home dye garden and botanical dyeing skill have been featured in the Gardening Australia magazine. Sue is also a dedicated primary school Learning and Support Teacher.
