Beginner Lacemaking – Saturday December 7
Beginner Lacemaking - Lace Leaves
The workshop will be an introduction to bobbin lace. Create your own unique leaf by utilising bobbin lace techniques which are the foundation for all types of pillow laces. The base stitches will be covered as well as how to start and finish a piece of lace so you will have all the skills to start exploring the lace making process. All participants will get to complete and take home one lace leaf, in the 3 hour workshop.
All special lace materials will be on hand at the workshop as well as reference list on how to purchase or make your own for those who wish to continue to learn.
The workshop will be conducted by members of the NSW Branch of the Australian Lace Guild, formed in 1979.
