Learn the Ancient Nordic Craft of Nalbinding

Before the invention of knitting, clever humans created beautiful textiles using a technique called nalbinding.

In this workshop fibre artist Vicki Cornish will teach you the basics of this ancient craft and show you how it can be used to create wonderful, contemporary textiles.  During the workshop you will make a gorgeous woollen egg warmer as your first nalbinding sample.

What you will learn:

An introduction to Nalbinding – how to create a starting chain; how to join the chain into a circle; and how to increase and decrease.  We will be working with the Oslo stitch.
