Wildcraft Fun at Hive & Gobbler !

Join us for bushcrafts, awareness games, survival skills, natural play, storytelling, songs and drama.

* Learn different bush foods, how to spin grass into rope and how to stalk.

* Play some fun and challenging games. 

* Share stories, songs and even do a bit of acting if you are keen.

This session is really practical teaching very useful life skills under the guise of games, stories and hands on bush crafts. Parents can join the art session nearby, hang around or drop off if their child (5+ years) is happy and self-reliant.

Duration: 10-1pm

Bring:  Please bring your own hat and water bottle.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Nikki Brown.  Bushwalking with her Grandfather sparked Nikki’s interest in nature.  Later, after scouting and mountaineering, Nikki discovered bush survival skills. She has since studied with many wilderness educators including Jon Young, Nature Philosophy Australia, Wilderness Awareness School and Deep Ecology with Joanna Macey. Nikki spent 2010 living in the bush, employing all of her bush survival skills.

Parking: Dowling St or nearby side streets

Please note that all workshops will be run outside if the weather is nice, so participants can enjoy our beautiful outdoor space. If it is too hot, windy or wet, we will be indoors in our air conditioned classroom space.
