School Holiday WildCraft Program (Ages 5 and up)

We love offering a school holiday kids program at Hive & Gobbler !

Who knows enough to survive in the bush ? Who knows how to turn bark into rope ? Who knows how to become invisible ? Who is good at crafting with nature ?

This Wildcraft Session will help you to learn some important survival skills, how to blend in, and how to make something you could use to carry water or food. A hands on session, with games and activities and the chance to make something that you can take home with you.

Ages 5 and up.

Duration: 10-12pm

Bring:  Please bring your own hat and water bottle.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Nikki Brown.  Bushwalking with her Grandfather sparked Nikki’s interest in nature.  Later, after scouting and mountaineering, Nikki discovered bush survival skills. She has since studied with many wilderness educators including Jon Young, Nature Philosophy Australia, Wilderness Awareness School and Deep Ecology with Joanna Macey. Nikki spent 2010 living in the bush, employing all of her bush survival skills.

Parking: Dowling St or nearby side streets

Please note that all workshops will be run outside if the weather is nice, so participants can enjoy our beautiful outdoor space. If it is too hot, windy or wet, we will be indoors in our air conditioned classroom space.
