Bush Printing Workshop – Sat 20 Nov 2021
Bush Printing Workshop
Bush Printing Workshop using hand carved wooden blocks, sponge and linocut stamps.
We will be creating patterns and textures on cloth you can later use to make quilts or garments or wherever your imagination flies.
Our theme will focus on motifs from the Australian Bush but the ideas are applicable to any motifs that rock your boat.
Bring your own well washed cloth to use- suggested 3 m and 2 or 3 smaller lengths for test prints.
The wooden blocks and lino stamps are ready to use, we will cut sponge stamps as part of our prep to print.
ABOUT YOUR TEACHER: Fiona Wright has lived and worked in India for the last 12 years developing "The Stitching Project"- a workshop focused on creating as much work for as many hands as possible.
